Catherine Connolly's taken a strong lead over Heather Humphreys in the race for the Aras.
The latest Ipsos B&A poll for the Irish Times shows the independent candidate is 18 points ahead of her Fine Gael rival with just over a week to go to polling.
Connolly is on 38 per cent and Humphreys is on 20 per cent.

It suggests Connolly has extended her lead since the last poll.
The survey also found more than half believe the constitution should be changed to make it easier for candidates to run for the presidency.
