Business people in Ballymahon are concerned planned streetscape works will effect footfall in the town. It follows a public meeting at Cooney's Hotel last night which was attended by over 50 people. The meeting was organised by the Ballymahon Community Information Partnership.
The group aims to to provide a platform for people living in Ballymahon to share their views on local projects. Organiser Niall Dowler says locals are supportive of development but are worried about significant changes to the streetscape:
