A new voluntary community group wants to provide a platform for people in Ballymahon to have their say on the development of the town. The Ballymahon Community Information Partnership will hold a 'town hall' meeting in the coming weeks to get the views of residents. Members are concerned about Part 8 plans for the town and say they want to educate and inform people about the planning process.
Niall Dowler and Ronan O'Ceallaigh are spearheading the initiative, which has been recognised by the Public Participation Network. Niall explained the reasons behind setting up the partnership:
