Longford County Council will host a free climate action course for the over 55s this month. It'll be hosted by former UN diplomat Jacinta Barrins and the local authority's climate change officer. The course will highlight everyday actions that can help lower greenhouse gas emissions.
The first of six classes will take place next Tuesday at Edgeworthstown Library. Climate Mentor Jacinta Barrins has been presenting the course across the country. She explains why it's aimed at those over the age of 55:
