Two Shannonside Northern Sound listeners are celebrating landmark birthdays today.
Bridget Tierney from Loughduff in Cavan and Eileen Kilcline who is living at the Sonas Nursing home in Cloverhill in Roscommon were both born on this day 106 years ago.
Bridget never smoked or drank, and her daughter Patricia told the Joe Finnegan Show that her health could be put down to her diet.

Eileen's son Bernard says he's glad to be back on the airwaves sharing a positive update.
