Longford TD Micheál Carrigy is urging people to support their local businesses and shops.
It follows the announcement he is stepping back from the running of Carrigy's DayTodayNews in Ballinalee.
He said he has taken this decision to focus on his work in politics.

The shop has now been handed over to new management.
