The Leitrim county town of Carrick-on-Shannon has been listed among the Top 20 Best Places to Live.
It's among a total of 470 locations nominated by more than 2.400 people for the title of "Best Place to Live in Ireland 2021".
Carrick-on-Shannon is among the 11 towns short-listed.

Each location was considered by a panel of judges on specific criteria including community spirit, local services and amenities, diversity, transport links, vibrancy of the local economy, cost of living, and safety.
The town received 12 nominations for the Irish Times run competition.
