Councillors in Carrick on Shannon are seeking a meeting with the OPW Minister regarding high water levels on the River Shannon. Five councillors are bringing forward a joint motion in relation the issue to next weeks Carrick on Shannon Municipal District meeting.
They want a meeting with Minister Kevin 'Boxer' Moran to discuss what his plans are for the area. Fianna Fáil Cllr Paddy Farrell says some work needs to be carried out:
