Carrick on Shannon Tidy Towns say they hope to expand the amenities along the river Shannon for tourists.
The group were among 34 organisations in the Shannonside Northern Sound region awarded over 1.4 million euro in funding through the Clár programme today.
The plans include a summertime walkway along the riverfront to the newly extended biodiversity area at the Linear Park in Carrick on Shannon
