Car seized in Edgeworthstown after driver with UK licence not insured to drive here

A car has been seized in Edgeworthstown after the driver was found to have no insurance.

The vehicle was stopped in the town by members of the Longford Roads Policing Unit.

The driver of the car produced a UK driving licence and gardai confirmed with his insurance company that he was not covered to drive in Ireland.

The car was seized and court proceedings are to follow.
