Longford County Council have been called on to form a Parks Division within the local authority.
The proposed division would have responsibility for the Upkeep and Maintenance of public realm areas such as parks, roundabouts, walkways and other routes around the county.
Councillor Gerry Warnock made the call at the September meeting of Longford County Council for the new division to be featured on a municipal district level.
