Calls for new car park to developed in Mohill due to public realm works

There are calls for an additional car park to be developed in Mohill. Fine Gael Cllr Maeve Reynolds brought forward a motion at the most recent Carrick on Shannon Municipal District meeting.

A €3.7 million upgrade of Mohill is almost finished with the public realm works including pedestrian crossings, new road surfaces, lighting and street furniture. Cllr Reynolds says a car park needs to be looked at to capitalise on the public realm enhancement of the town:
