Calls for forestry companies to help fund repair of roads in south Leitrim

It's hoped that Leitrim County Council and forestry companies can come together to fund the repairs to roads damaged across the county. Concerns have been raised that a number of roads have been left in extremely poor condition. It's felt the damage has been caused by heavy haulage vehicles carrying out forestry work locally. Ballinamore MD Cllr Paddy O'Rourke will raise the matter at this month's monthly meeting:

The Fianna Fáil representative says some roads are virtually impassable.
