A local councillor has called for extended opening hours at Tulsk Garda station. It comes after the County Roscommon village saw a ten-year high in reported crime last year, according to the latest CSO data. Fianna Fáil councillor Sean Moylan said the increase was down to a number of high profile incidents in the past twelve months.
He played down fears over public safety in the village but said an increased Garda presence was needed due to its location on a main national route. Cllr Moylan says the increase in crime warrants extended opening hours
