A Roscommon councillor is calling for the installation of more turning lanes on the N61 in south Roscommon.
Cllr Donal Kilduff says over 13 thousand cars use the Roscommon to Athlone road every day, and some structured turning lanes are badly needed at peak times.
At this month's meeting of Roscommon County Council, Cllr Kilduff urged members to write to Transport Infrastructure Ireland seeking the measure to be put in place at locations where there is clearly enough space for them.

The Kiltoom councillor says the move would take significant pressure off vulnerable drivers.
