Businessman raises safety concerns at Carrick-on-Shannon train station

He says it's due to a lack of car-parking at the station.

A local businessman says there are safety concerns at Carrick-on-Shannon train station because of a lack of car-parking. It was raised after Boyle councillor Sean Moylan called for a new pedestrian crossing at Cortober. He says it's badly needed near SuperValu and Lidl, so people can cross the N4 safely. But Gerard Fitzgerald, who runs Gerard Anthony Superstore in Cortober, says the train station is a bigger priority.
