Councillors Paddy O'Rourke and Enda McGloin are the first councillors to be elected in the Shannonside region, both in Leitrim.
Both exceeded the quota of 944 with O'Rourke receiving 1434 and McGloin receiving 1033.
The total poll in the Ballinamore MD was 6604 with 56 spoiled votes.

Meanwhile in Manorhamilton, Independent candidate James Gilmartin was also deemed elected on the first count by receiving 1,335 votes, exceeding the quota of 907.
Whereas, In Carrick-on-Shannon, no candidate exceeded the quota, with Leslie O'Hora, who received the lowest votes, eliminated. Follow our Leitrim count centre details.
