Main Street in Ballymahon remains closed this lunchtime.
That's after a man in his 80s suffered serious injuries after being struck by car.
The incident occurred at around 5.15pm on Monday evening and a pedestrian was rushed to Tullamore hospital.

The driver of the car, a man in his late teens, suffered no injuries.
Gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
