A local town teams representative believes a new funding announcement is a positive news story.
Niall Dowler from the Ballymahon Town Team welcomed the announcement that they will receive €30,000.
The Castlerea town team in Roscommon will also receive an allocation of €30,000.

It aims to boost employment and tourism and encourage people to live and work there.
