Award-winning actor Gary Lydon has died aged 61.
Best known for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin, he was born in London to Irish parents before moving to Wexford as a child.
The star settled in Roscommon a few years ago, where he lived with his wife, Kara Doherty, daughter of the late Fianna Fáil TD Seán Doherty.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
