The Attic House in Longford Town has been proposed as the premises for a potential new Family Resource Centre. It comes as the Longford Family Resource Centre steering committee launched its Needs Assessment Report yesterday. The presentation stressed the need for a centre in Longford Town, and noted it could have an outreach service to Edgeworthstown. There are currently two Family Resource Centres in the county, one in Ballymahon and the other in Granard.
An application was submitted to be reviewed by Tusla among another 49 submissions from around the country, and a decision on its outcome is expected by October.
