A statement from the Department states that during the disturbance, a member of the onsite security team was injured and one of the site's electrical blocks was damaged.

The group behind the protests is refuting the claims from the Department of Integration that protestors damaged equipment.

Athlone Stands Together has organised ongoing protests at the site, with over 200 people attending a march on Lissywollen on Sunday.

A statement from the Department states that during the disturbance, a member of the onsite security team was injured and one of the site's electrical blocks was damaged, causing a temporary power outage.
