There are fears a planned wind farm in south Roscommon will involve "at least 10 massive turbines".
The Cornafulla Wind Farm is a joint venture between Bord na Móna and SSE Renewables.
Around 200 locals are against the plans - with a group set up called the Friends of Clonmacnoise, Cornafulla and the Shannon Callows.
A committee was chosen at a public meeting in Clann na nGael GAA Club last night.
The exact number of turbines hasn't been confirmed - but local man Vincent Harney says it's a large wind farm:
