Over €440,000 for protection of local archaeological sites
It comes as part of Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Electoral Reform, Malcolm Noonan's Community Monuments Fund for 2024.

Monument to Ranelagh burial site unveiled
The site was excavated during an archaeological dig between 2015 and 2016 and the earliest in situ burial discovered was that of an older female who dated back to AD 428 to 601.
