An appeal for information has been reissued following the exhumation of Leitrim man Liam Farrell.
The 87-year-old was found dead at the back of his house in Rooskey in January 2020 in a bloodied and bruised state.
His official cause of death was a heart attack, but his family believes he was violently attacked beforehand.
Speaking at the exhumation this morning, Chief Superintendent Des McTiernan appealed to anyone who was socialising in Reynolds Pub or the Weir Lodge - where he was last seen - on the night of January 11th 2020 to come forward.
He is also urging anyone who may have information regarding the case to help investigating teams get clarity on the events of January 12th.
