The Arts Council has announced funding for various festivals taking place in the Shannonside region this year.
Close to €100,000 has been allocated to festivals in Roscommon, Leitrim and Longford.
The Arts Council is the national government agency for funding, developing and promoting the arts in Ireland.
In Co Roscommon, the Boyle Arts Festival and the Strokestown International Poetry Festival received the highest amount of funding locally with €30,500 and €25,000 respectively.
The Longford Lights Festival which took place earlier this year received over €16,000, while Granard Booktown Festival, which took place in April, received €13,000.
Meanwhile in Co Leitrim, the Iron Mountain Literature Festival, which will take place in Carrick on Shannon in October, has been allocated €10,000.
Nationally, the Arts Council has invested €14.7 million in support of 208 festivals which are taking place across 2025.
