Almost 4,000 students from Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon will start their state exams today. Almost 2,100 are going the junior cert, and nearly 1,800 will sit the leaving cert or applied leaving cert.
They all start with English this morning - with the last exam taking place on June 24th. Guidance counsellor and Sligo-Leitrim general election candidate, Marie Casserly, has this advice for students:
