Almost 300 people stranded on waiting lists in Roscommon University Hospital for over a year

Almost 300 people have been stranded on waiting lists in Roscommon University Hospital for over a year. 174 are waiting for their first outpatient consultation, according to the National Treatment Purchase Fund.

And 122 are waiting to have an inpatient or day-case procedure carried out. South Roscommon Independent councillor, Emer Kelly, says urgent action is needed:
