Almost 1,500 businesses in the Shannonside region have been awarded grants of up €4,000 euro to help them stay open. The Power Up Grant was announced in last year's Budget - to help the hospitality, retail and beauty sectors. Almost €1.3 million euro has been paid to 323 businesses in Longford - with 2.6 million given to 655 in Roscommon. 323 businesses in Leitrim have got nearly 1.3 million - which Drumshanbo councillor Enda McGloin welcomes:
