The singe border crossing between Turkey and Syria cannot handle the flood of those trying to help.

The World Health Organisation says the deadly earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have 'overwhelmed everyone'.

There's a warning aid isn't reaching affected areas quickly enough - with fears more lives could be lost as a result.

At least 33-thousand people have died and - one week on - rescues are turning into recoveries.

There's currently only one border crossing open from Turkey into northwest Syria.

UN aid chief Martin Griffiths says it's not enough:

It's an open an shut case on humanitarian terms, why we need those extra crossing points now to save lives and to provide some sort of assistance to the people as they come into the post rescue phase.
