Afghans living in Ireland to hold protest in Dublin today

The United States troops withdrew from Afghanistan on August 31st of this year.

Hundreds of Afghans living in Ireland are to stage a protest in Dublin this afternoon against what they describe as opression and tyranny in the country.

The protest comes after the Taliban asked male teachers and pupils to return to secondary school, with no mention of girls or women.

The militant group has also replaced the women's ministry with a department of vice and virtue.

It had promised to be more moderate in its rule this time round - but protest organiser Naheez Salman says they're empty promises.
