6-year-old girl seriously injured in M6 crash

It happened at around 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon on the M6 Eastbound between Tyrellspass and Rochfortbridge.

A 6 year old girl has been seriously injured in a road crash in Co. Westmeath. It happened at around 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon on the M6 Eastbound between Junction 4 -Tyrellspass - and Junction 3 -Rochfortbridge.

Gardaí are still at the scene of the single-vehicle collision this morning and traffic diversions are in place. Gardaí say the 6 year old has been taken to Temple St. Hospital in Dublin for treatment, but no other serious injuries were reported.
