Gardai in Roscommon have uncovered 25 drugs cultivation operations and 138 detections of the sale and supply of drugs in the last two years.
Detective Inspector John Costello has informed the Joint Policing Committee that this number will increase as confirmation of samples from seizures are verified by garda laboratories.
There were seven grow houses uncovered in the Castlerea district and three in the Roscommon district.

There have been 43 incidents of sale and supply in the Castlerea area from January 2019 to February 8th this year, and 85 people were caught with possession of drugs.
In the Roscommon district, there were 26 people arrested for sale and supply of drugs, and 72 people were found with drugs for personal use.
