A fine of 5,000 euro has been issued for waste-related offences in Co Roscommon.
It was imposed in a district court in the final three months of last year.
A total of 175 complaints were received and investigated by Roscommon County Council's waste and litter team between October and December last year.
But there was only enough evidence to issue 15 litter fines, seven of which were appealed.
Nine abandoned cars were also removed during this period.
Around 110 illegally dumped tyres were also removed from the N5 near Scramoge and in Arigna.
A conviction was also secured for littering, under the Litter Pollution Act, in the district court.
Separately, one case was also successfully prosecuted in the district court for two breaches of the Waste Management Act, with fines of 2,500 euro issued for each breach.
The court also issued an order to the defendant to remove the waste within 28 days.
The council also issued five fines to waste-collection permit holders for breaking the conditions of their permits in the final three months of last year.
