13% rise in number of people flying into Dublin Airport last week

The country's main airport is still seeing high number of passengers coming into Ireland, despite covid and mandatory hotel quarantine from some countries

The number of people who arrived into Dublin Airport increased by nearly 13 per cent last week. The Department of Justice says 12,007 people arrived - compared to just over 10,600 the week before.

Over 6,800 Irish residents returned home from abroad - which is 929 more than the week before.

A holiday or visit was the main reason for their journey. And nearly 5,200 non-Irish residents flew into the airport - with British being the top nationality.
