The Health Minister has officially laid the first brick on the new 90-bed nursing home in Carrick-on-Shannon. Jennifer Carroll MacNeill visited the site on the Leitrim Road on Friday evening, to mark the start of construction.
It will replace St Patrick's Community Hospital in Summerhill in Carrick, which has 40 beds. Our reporter Eoghan Murphy spoke the Minister on the Leitrim Road site about her visit to the county.
