LISTEN BACK: Public realm enhancement projects are 'state-sponsored vandalism'

There has been plenty of controversy in recent months over public realm enhancement projects in Shannonside towns.

The plans in Ballaghaderreen have stopped, at least temporarily, because of protests over the loss of 47 car parking places.

There has also been controversy in recent years over similar projects in Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon town, Mohill and Strokestown.

On Let's Talk today, Eoghan Murphy spoke to two people with different views on these projects - Carrick-on-Shannon's Leslie O'Hora, from the Green Party, and Roscommon freelance journalist Emmett Corcoran.
