The incident happened in Creggs last Wednesday, when five lambs or sheep were killed.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who was traveling on the N4 in the Aghadegan area.

An alternative route is available via the loughs along the Camlin river until maintenance is due to be complete on Monday the 29th of April.

Motorists are advised that there will be no parking permitted on any part of the Circular Road.
