The Irish Postmasters Union is calling for a 50% increase in state funding, from €10m a year to €15m.

A report from the Environmental Protection Agency revealed it is looking into cases of illegal operations over seven counties across the country.

A referendum had previously been set by the government for May 2019, but was delayed.

The figures were revealed following a question by Roscommon Councillor Valerie Duffy at the most recent Regional Health Forum meeting.

The awards are hosted by the Law Society of Ireland and are the longest running media awards in Ireland.

Nationally, there has been a 13% increase in the number of home energy upgrades last year compared to 2023.

It comes following an RTE investigates programme which looked into the care of patients at two nursing homes in Dublin and Laois.
