The Ballymahon Community Information Partnership will hold a 'town hall' meeting in the coming weeks to get the views of residents.

Hundreds of people are expected to line the streets of Ballinasloe next week for a major protest over maternity services.

That's according to new data released by the Central Statistics Office.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact their local Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.

It's 14 years since the accident and emergency unit in Roscommon Hospital closed down.

The meeting is taking place at Gullanes Hotel, Ballinasloe from 8pm this evening.
