Tens of thousands of euro worth of equipment was stolen from a yard at Edentenny in Ballinamore in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Over 1,400 are waiting for their first outpatient consultation, according to the National Treatment Purchase Fund.

The Department of Health says there were 66 in Roscommon, 81 in Longford and 49 in Leitrim.

Thieves raided a yard at Edentenny overnight, sometime 12 midnight and 6.20 this morning. 

The towns of Drumshanbo and Ballinamore have normal supply restored.

A number of shots were discharged in the Ardleigh Park area of Mullingar at around 1.40pm yesterday. No injuries were reported.
