Over 250 people attended a public meeting last night

People travelled from throughout the Shannonside region and further afield for the meeting in the Landmark Hotel.

The meeting was told over four million tonnes of timber had been knocked down in storms Darragh and Eowyn in the six counties of Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Longford and Cavan.

The cars collided at Moyvanion, Kiltooom, at around 4.30 this afternoon. 

The facility opened in 2023 and, at one stage, accommodated 18 refugees.
