Strong Opposition in Ballaghaderreen to Plan for Additional 120 Refugees

Residents in Ballaghaderreen are strongly opposing plans to accommodate another 120 refugees in the town.

310 refugees could be housed in the Eroc Centre, if an 18-bedroom extension gets planning permission.

192 people are living there now.

Roscommon County Council will decide whether to grant planning by December 17th.

Local man Michael Scally lives beside the centre and he's against the extension:

Mr Scally says there's a lack of services in the town:
