A local woman has highlighted the importance of organ donation. Catriona Charles who is from Mohill in County Leitrim, received a kidney transplant 34 years ago.
There are over 600 people nationwide waiting on a life saving transplant. The public is being urged not to leave loved ones in doubt when it comes to organ donation. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Catriona described the difference an organ donation can make to someone's life:
