Aoife was crowned world champion last Sunday, replicating her young sisters' achievement in 2022.

Aoife O'Rourke became only the sixth Irish boxer in history to win world championship gold on Sunday, joining younger sister Lisa, who did so three years ago.

Aoife O'Rourke's five-nil, unanimous decision victory over her Turkish opponent saw her win the gold medal in the 75kg division in Liverpool.

A homecoming celebration for world champion boxer Aoife O'Rourke and her sister Lisa is taking place tomorrow evening.

She's due to flew into Dublin Airport this evening before making her way to west Roscommon.

Hyrox is an indoor fitness competition combining eight kilometres of running as well as functional workout stations.

The championships commence at noon on Beirne family land in Ballinaheglish and are expected to draw a large crowd.

There will be an array of ploughing events on the day as well as a number of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Castlerea boxing sisters, Aoife and Lisa O'Rourke, will cut the ribbon on the new site and there will be free class demonstrations.
