The GAA are due to reveal a tough set of accounts for 2020.

It’s expected they’ll confirm a loss of 31-million euro on account of the pandemic.

Last week, it was revealed that that the association had lost their "Elite Status" which allowed for inter county action towards the end of 2020.

Activity will not now return till the beginning of April at the earliest.

There is a debate now underway that people may move away from the sport to sports which are currently active.

Anglo-Celt sports journalist Paul Fitzpatrick believes the G-A-A is in a strong position, but handball and other smaller sports could see a very big impact from Covid-19
