Roscommon Ladies were relegated to Lidl League Division Three following a five point defeat to Tipperary in Enfield.
Finbar Egan’s side had control of proceedings in the opening quarter and asserted dominance thanks to scores from Laura Mannion, Marion Nolan and Aisling Hanly.
However, Tipperary got themselves level, as both sides gave as good going into half-time all square.
Emma Morrissey gave Tipperary the lead at the beginning of the second-half but it was a goal ten minutes into the second period from Aishling Moloney that turned the tide and left Roscommon chasing the game.
The warning signs were there as Tipperary had a goal frim Angela McGuigan disallowed only two minutes prior.
The visitors went on to open up a six point lead; but Roscommon did not let their heads drop as they managed to close the gap slightly.
But it wasn’t enough, as Tipperary saw the game out, relegating Finbar Egan’s side to division three.
