The Leitrim ladies footballers were crowned Connacht intermediate football champions following a 2-11 to 2-8 victory over Roscommon at Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.
The sides were tied at 2-5 to 1-8 at half-time with Laura O’Dowd accounting for both of Leitrim’s goals while Laura Fleming found the net for Roscommon.
It was 2-8 apiece at the second water break as Fleming added her second goal during the third quarter but Leitrim were crowned provincial champions after hitting three unanswered points thereafter.
