St Mary’s moved into the Leitrim senior football semi-final with a comfortable 10-point victory over Aughwillain.
St. Mary’s were in control throughout leading eight points to two at half-time. Four points from Paul Keaney (three frees) and a point each from Jack Barnes, Jack Casey, James McGrail and David O’Connell seeing Mary’s in-front.
Aughwillian managed five points in the second-half, but Mary’s managed to add three to their score.
Cian Singleton found the net half-way through the second-half moving Mary’s seven points clear. The Willie’s kept chipping at the score-line but Brian Farrell found the net for Mary’s second goal.
It’s was St. Mary’s day as they ran out 10 points winners 2-15 to 11 points and advance to the Leitrim semi-final.
