St. Brigid's too strong for Padraig Pearses in Roscommon junior final

St. Brigid's finished with 16 points to spare over Padraig Pearses.

St Brigid’s were crowned Roscommon junior football champions following a 2-14 to 0-4 victory over Padraig Pearses at Kiltoom today.

St. Brigid’s never looked like losing the game and led 0-10 to 0-1 at half-time. Eoin Derwin and Keelan Byrne accounted for nine points collectively in the opening half.

On 45 minutes, St. Brigid’s opened up a 13 point gap when Ciaran O’Reilly found the net before Oisin O’Reilly added another goal from a penalty with three minutes remaining.

Two minutes later Ciaran O’Reilly added another point and while Padraig Pearses managed two scores in injury time, it was too little too late.
